Clan Duncan Sheltie Web Art Page

February: President's Day is here.

You are welcome to take any of the images between the two bars below, and use it UNALTERED (other than size changes) on your own pages. If you wish to alter an image to make it your own, please don't -- the free images aren't meant for this. If you want custom art or logos, I do them on order. There are PAGES of free Sheltie web art now, so do explore the buttons below. I very much enjoy visiting pages where the art is displayed, pages that now span the globe from Australia to Arizona, from Germany to Normandy, from Maine to Mexico. (Please don't link directly to the art--if I find that anyone has linked to an image, I will remove it from these pages.) To take an image, simply right-click it with your mouse, and then save-as to your own hard drive. Upload it to your own site and use as you wish. I will be adding more free web art pages as the whim strikes me. Suggestions are welcome. If you take some of the art, I'd appreciate a link back to this site or a note giving credit to this source, but don't do so if it detracts from your design. Use the image below, and feel free to shrink it. This new page of web art features Valentine's Day and Sheltie Rescue images. Please take your choices "home" to your sites! Please remember that giffing may cause a few random tiny "gray spots" or gray outlines to appear in the image. It's not that I have not cleaned up the images, it's part of the "transparent background" algorhythm. NOTE: If a "puppy mill" is using some of my web art, that DOES NOT MEAN I KNOW THE PEOPLE AND ENDORSE THEM--FAR FROM IT! If you are a puppy mill, these images are not for you!

Special Notice: Please, Sheltie lovers! Don't take my personal site web art and use it! I have provided many images on my Free Web Art Pages to "fancy up" Sheltie sites all over the web, but my own art is MY OWN! Don't take my banners, endpieces, dingbats, and photographs for your site! I have been having a bit of trouble just lately with puppy-millers and backyard breeders stealing photos of my dogs to put in their internet classified ads. If this means you, be assured I will follow up legally; my Shelties will NOT be used to sell your dogs. (If your dogs are worthy of being advertised, put up your OWN photos!) If you're a friend and notice one of these, please let me know. I don't wish to disable the "grab" function, since I think it's important for people to be able to copy the images for their personal breed database files -- but I am considering it.

I can make composite photos from your own pictures.

Have a vision for your website? Have a photo you want to use for magazine advertising, but it's got a problem? I do expert photo-edits and photo-art work of any kind, pixel-accurate and indistinguishable from the rest of the photo. Want a colored or textured background for that headstudy?

There are many ways to work with images.

I do a limited amount of Sheltie web art and photo processing on order during times when I am not as busy with other projects. With photos, this includes putting the dog on a new background, editing out people and leads or bits of grass, x-pen bars, red-eye from flash photos, odd bits of fur, moving a leg just a bit, restoration, color correction, sharpening, putting in decorative borders or backgrounds, etc. I can also do composite photos with several views of the dog in one image.

I can make any kind of custom 3-D text.

Besides creating images, web art includes custom titling, with text in any color, pattern, or texture -- as well as logos, dingbats, buttons of any shape, color, and design, and divider bars. You can see examples of custom text, bars, and buttons on every page of this site.

I can make web images from your own photos, and at the proper resolution so they will load quickly. (These pages have many images, and see how quickly they -- usually -- load?)  If you have something you'd like me to create or work with, email me at danaq@aol.com for more information and rates.

Remember, creating the perfect Sheltie with pixels and light is a challenge, too. Just like their furry counterparts, no image is absolutely perfect, and each is an individual!
