The
Ghost Girl Sisters.

Rowena, and Ramona.

Clan Duncan Cherden New Moon.spacerClan Duncan Cherden Full Moon.

Above you see our two littermate "new foundation" blue girls, known at home as the Ghost Girls -- light of step, fleet of foot, so sound that they are seemingly fashioned from a breath of wind, Rowena and Ramona. The Ghost Girls are sired by our Blue Sky out of Cherden Layla's Song, and sport what we call an "old-family Banchory/Cherden pedigree," with the rare tail-female line going back to Pow's dam and thence to Timberidge Crown Jewel. The third Ghost Girl, Rebecca, produced Ch. Grace and Ch. Galen, and has gone back to live at Cherden. The Ghost Girls are our oldest girls since we started back up. We are building upon them, as can be seen below.

Here's Inkwitch at 8 months.

Clan Duncan Visible Ink

Little Inkwitch is quite a lot of elegance and quirky little personality packed into 14 1/2". Inkwitch is from Ramona's litter by Am/Can. Ch. Glenesk Darkfall, AOM. She is pictured above at 8 months but is all grown up now and is the dam of lovely Sita, Clan Duncan Star of India, plus our self-important Bindi, both pictured below. Inky bonded to our friend Lacey and now lives with Lacey in the mountain foothills nearby. (You can't fight love!)

This is Bindi.

Clan Duncan India Ink.

Through some unknown misfortune as a baby puppy, Bindi lost an eartip, so you won't be seeing her in the show ring. She is sired by Clan Duncan Clearwater (Greggie) ex elegant little Inkwitch, above, and is everything we had hoped to get from this breeding. Pictured having fun in the kitchen at 7 mos, Bindi is 15" of plush fur, elegance, smoothly clean skull, pretty eye, and solidly correct body. Bindi is quite the diva. We just love her, though she is VERY bossy.

This is Miranda.

Clan Duncan Haunting Memory.

These next three are sisters, called "The Merlinettes." They are our legacy from their sire, Merlin, from his only litter, sired at age 11. Their dam is Rowena. Merlin was Clan Duncan Halloween, and his girls are named after him. Like Merlin, they have the temperaments of our old dogs, those now vanished into the mists of the past. They recall our foundation dogs from Banchory, and are linebred to them. Miri is the most like Merlin, but has a gentle spirit all her own, as well as that built-in dignity belonging to her sire. Miranda will be bred before we let her out of our sight to seek her fortune in the show ring.

This is little Imp.

Clan Duncan Halloweena.

Aptly named by Scott, this miniature tornado is always into mischief! Imp is sound, sound, sound, and is 13" if poked gently in the tummy to make her stand on tiptoe. She loves to climb on things and jump.

Clan Duncan Halloween Candy.

This is Candy.

Candy is just as sound as Imp, but excels in persistence and a calm, driving energy. She would have made a great working sheepdog, but is making do by herding the other girls around the unfinished first floor of our house.

This is Tardy.

Clan Duncan Best of Times.

Tardy is also a Rowena daughter, seen here in an unposed snapshot at 11 months. Her sire is Cherden Thunder Run. Now almost two, Tardy has left awkward puppyhood behind and is the picture of elegance, which carries over into her movement. As a breeder, when I look at her, I think, "Here is a producer of dreams." Time will tell! In the meantime, Tardy's best game is playing "weave poles" through the 2x4" framing studs in the unfinished daylight basement!

This is Rachel. This is Glitter.

Clan Duncan MoonstoneClan Duncan Luna Moth

Above are our littermate girls by Cherden Thunder Run ex Clan Duncan Cherden Full Moon. Rachel has begun her show career and now has several points. Glitter is pictured at 6 months. These are sound, typy girls with acres of neck, lovely eye, smooth clean skull, and sweep-the-ground tail. Glitter is grown up now, so we need a new photo of her. They are co-owned with and living at Davishall, and have two equally lovely tri litter brothers, Ch. Freddie and Frankie.

Ch. Clan Duncan Cherden Gossamer.

This is Grace.

Ch. Gracie is now at Cherden. She is the daughter of Jason and Rebecca, almost-sister to Rachel and Glitter (as well as Freddie and Frankie), and litter sister to our young tri fellow Ch. Galen, pictured on the Boys Page. Grace finished in less than two months of showing, and is pictured above at two. Grace excels in movement (5-pt major under Katie Gammill), elegance, smooth clean skull, femininity, and -- well, grace (even though at times she is rather goofy)!

Clan Duncan Star of India.

This is Sita.

Sita began her show career as a puppy, handled in the SE by co-owner Thomas Biggs. She lives at Davishall and is sired by Clan Duncan Clearwater ex Inkwitch, and is litter sister to Bindi. Sita is a funny girl, interested in everything. When she is focusing on something she is interested in, she is oblivious to everything else. Elegant Sita has been known to walk into her handler while looking back over her shoulder at something of intense interest to her!

This is Ixxie.

Clan Duncan Ixiolirion.

By Ch. Glenesk Darkfall ex Ramona, Ixxie is named after a beautiful blue/lavender flower, Ixiolirion. (That's what you get when your breeder is a botanist!) Ixxie sports a lovely skull, neck, and very good running gear. Ixxie has inherited the Pow water-loving desires, and her favorite thing is to clown around with the hose and in water dishes and buckets. Ixxie lives at Davishall. Ixxie is extra, extra bright. She is the dam of our very lovely Lyra, below.

This is Verity.

Int. Ch. Clan Duncan Blue Reverie.

Here is little Verity, by our old Blue Sky ex Royal Oaks Deja Vu, and litter sister to Flying Clouds. 14" of elegant neck, graceful movement, and sweet personality, Verity lives with her co-owner Lacey Mowrer. Lacey lives nearby, so we see Verity often.

Clan Duncan Aquamarine.

This is Puff.

Here is our spunky, fun-loving daughter of Ch. Kismet's Zarak, Puff. Puff is now almost two years old. She has grown up into a little furry beauty. Puff definitely has a mind of her own and is a major player with dog toys. Her dam is Verity's sister Martie, Clan Duncan Figurine. Puffer is waiting for maturity to hit the show ring. She is elegant and has a classic outline.

This is Lyra.

Clan Duncan Constellation

Lyra is our youngest, and she is extremely, exceedingly sound, nearly as sound as the Ghost Girls. Lyra has a very interesting old-Banchory pedigree. She is by Bellevue's Moonlight Vaquero, one of the last sons of Ch. Trilight Strike a Clear Note. Her dam is Ixxie, above. She was co-bred with Davishall, and all 5 of her litter sisters have been retained there. We have great plans for this very sound, bright, elegant girl with pretty eye and smoothly refined skull. Her young son Bey can be seen on the Boys Page.

This is Callie.

Calypso Tropicalia

Above is our blue girl by the beautiful Ch. Apple Acres Odyssey Armani, ROM. We searched for YEARS to find a quality, well-bred girl whose pedigree went straight back on the tail-female line to our foundation dogs. Callie tail-females to our foundation bitch Banchory Half Moon, and also includes in her pedigree our other foundation bitch Banchory Bonny of Clan Duncan CD, plus as a bonus, two of our very favorite Thunder Blue daughters, Clan Duncan Blackberry Bi and her daughter Clan Duncan Coal and Diamonds.

That's the girls!
